Football review: Suzuki Cup '08 semi-finals (SG VS. VIET)Firstly, congrats to Vietnam for making it to the finals. Swift counter attacks that gave a match winning goal for them. Scored by substitution player jersey 13.
Secondly, what the hell is the problem with the Singapore players?!
To lose even with a home ground advantage?!
First fault; Agu.
More of an assist player then a scorer isn't he? Had a clear chance but didn't shoot.
2nd fault; Alam Shah.
His finishes last night were dissapointing. But he did make an effort. The best soccer saying that matches this fine man is; 'To score, one must be ready to miss'
3rd fault; Jia Yi
Horrible crosses, nearly horrible timing but managed to try and get one in the net...
If not for the save, that would be a 1 - 0 lead in the first half.
Good try...
Finally, every, if not most, of the players were taking their time even when falling behind 1 - 0 in the dying minutes of the game.
Bad things aside, you guys should cut down on the casual-ness and the dribbling.
The sense of urgency and the straight-forwardness is missing.
However, don't give up.
There's always another season...

Bravo for both the teams for making it this far.
As they say, soccer is an unpredictable game.
Good luck for all future matches...
I play soccer but not proffesionally.
Just with a couple of friends.
